In my former life I was Vice President of Creative Services at Texas Monthly. If you ever received a tchotchke from a Texas Monthly sales rep, that was my work. Please don’t snicker. The pack of pencils bearing George Strait song titles went ballistic on Facebook and we had people calling from Montana to snag a set. The resulting buzz helped drive monster ad sales for the George Strait issue. If you need a promotional idea with sticking power and brand resonance, I can do that.
Working with Texas Monthly advertisers, I concepted and crafted ad programs that spoke to Texans, creating work for Cadillac, GMC, and Chevrolet. Liquor brands such as Patron, Ketel One, and Grand Marnier sought out my creative team for big ideas that reached Texans in print and in the marketplace.
